Recently Merlin visited Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital to visit both with a patient, Terry, and a nurse in the ICU, Donna, to gain their perspectives. The FHL Daily Podcast: Perspectives from IUPUI Students on MLK Day

As part of MLK day,  FHL partnered with the volunteers of IUPUI to help service people and areas in the Martindale-Brightwood area, the Boys and Girls Club of Troy Ave. and the FHL offices.  As part of volunteer orientation, Merlin greeted the volunteers and spoke to them about the projects for that day and asked what each one thought about how things could improve in their community.  Doing right to others is the core of community improvement.  Listen in now as these 8 students share with us their vision for changing their communities as they respond to the question: “What would your school or neighborhood or home look like if you could say ‘the blessing of God is here.’?”
